Summary

SAGIT is seeking expressions of interest in producing the South Australian Crop Sowing Guide. The Sowing Guide is a key production of SAGIT and GRDC and compiles independent and objective information on varieties of our 10 most important field crops from the GRDC NVT system and other resources, to provide agronomists and growers with the information they need to make good decisions about variety choice.

The starting position will be to emulate the content of the 2026 Crop Sowing Guide (see https://sagit.com.au/2026-sowing-guide/) but with the added goal of adding the traits shown below from new data in NVT, from breeding companies, from research agronomists in the public and private sector and other sources.

A proposed protocol for adding this data has been developed and can be discussed with SAGIT during the tender open period.

Where no local data is available for traits, links to interstate sowing guides should be provided. Where available, the area sown to varieties for each crop should be included, via liaison with bulk handlers.

1 April 2026 – 30 June 2026
