Benefitting Mallee growers by optimising summer weed control applications (AGX3026)

START

July 1, 2026

FINISH

June 30, 2027

Summary

This project will conduct two adjuvant spray experiments, one in the northern Mallee (Waikerie or Loxton) and one in the southern Mallee (Lameroo) to test a range of commercial adjuvant products in combination with standard grower herbicide mixes, targeting common summer weeds. The aim is to determine optimal mixes for the uniquely dry and hot Mallee environment and to evaluate the efficacy and cost of common herbicide + adjuvant combination for control of weeds such as Gazania, Feathertop Rhodes grass and Fleabane.
