Barley net blotch fungicide resistance management in the South-East (SAR5426)

START

July 1, 2026

FINISH

June 30, 2029

Summary

Barley net form net blotch (NFNB) is a significant disease constraint in SA, with increasing complexity in disease management due to variable varietal resistance and fungicide resistance issues. This project aims to generate locally relevant evidence to support sustainable NFNB management particularly in the South- East of SA by integrating field-based evaluation of fungicide strategies, resistance monitoring and extension to growers and advisors. This project is a co-investment, with GRDC providing 50% of the total funding.
