Pests and beneficial invertebrates at crop establishment: supporting SA growers after the loss of chlorpyrifos (SAU0726)

START

July 1, 2026

FINISH

June 30, 2028

Summary

This project aims to assess the impacts of post-chlorpyrifos establishment pest management practices on pest pressure and beneficial invertebrate activity. The project will identify the most influential beneficial taxa and critical establishment periods where conservation of beneficials delivers the greatest pest suppression. Outcomes will be translated into practical, regionally relevant guidance to support SA growers. This project is a co-investment, with GRDC providing 50% of the total funding.
