Investigating frost susceptibility in Clearfield® varieties treated with IMI herbicide (MSF218)
Maximising performance of post-emergent herbicides workshops on the Upper EP (AEP221G)
Silverleaf nightshade – long-term management effects of annual herbicide applications (PIR116)
Field experiments measured the long-term effects of successive annual herbicide treatments on SLN density.
Identifying the causes of unreliable N fixation by medic-based pastures (SARDI1515)
Investigating whether common herbicides used for weed control in medic-based pastures contribute to the uncertain nitrogen fixation from pastures on the Upper Eyre Peninsula.
Improving weed control in new herbicide tolerant lentils (S316)
Evaluating the control of key difficult-to-control weed species in South Australian lentil production by using novel metribuzin applications, alternative timings and mixtures with other herbicides.
Silverleaf nightshade – protecting clean farms and reducing SA yield losses (PIRSA113)
Silverleaf nightshade biology and management research was conducted at Keith and Warnertown along with experiments at Cavan and Edinburgh.
Practical development of weed patch management for adoption in grains (S1202)
Trials were run at Warnertown, Urania, Loxton and Wallaroo, studying the effect of SSWM on high density brome and ryegrass patches.
Evaluating clethodim tolerance in canola (S0713)
This research has shown that clethodim can severely impact the growth, development and grain yield of canola. These effects are amplified with increasing herbicide rates and applications at later canola growth stages. Not all canola varieties are affected to the same degree.
