This research used X-Ray Fluorescence technology to assess concentrations of calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sulphur and zinc concentrations in a range of broadacre crops grown in southern Australia.

As well as identifying isolates of the disease to assist with the development of resistant varieties, the research also identified timing of spore release from infested lentil stubble which will assist in improving fungicide application timing.

This research has shown that clethodim can severely impact the growth, development and grain yield of canola. These effects are amplified with increasing herbicide rates and applications at later canola growth stages. Not all canola varieties are affected to the same degree.

Heat research study trip to America (AGT114)
